About Climate Stats

Climate Stats is a free resource providing data-driven monthly climate averages for cities around the world.

What is Climate Stats?

Climate Stats is a free, data-driven resource providing monthly climate averages for cities around the world. Our goal is to help travelers, students, researchers, and the simply curious understand typical weather patterns — from temperature and rainfall to sunshine, humidity, UV index, wind speed, and snowfall — so they can plan trips and answer everyday weather questions with confidence.

Where does the data come from?

All climate figures on this site are aggregated from the Open-Meteo historical archive, a free and open weather data source that combines observations from national meteorological services worldwide. We pull daily measurements for a five-year window (2020–2024) and reduce them into monthly climate normals, which represent typical conditions for each month of the year.

What does each city page include?

Our principles

We believe climate information should be transparent, attributable, and easy to understand. Every page links back to its data source, shows the averaging period, and lists the exact coordinates used. We do not fabricate data or extrapolate beyond what the source provides.

Get in touch

Climate Stats is continuously expanding to cover more cities. If you spot an issue or want to suggest a city, please refer to our Methodology page for details on how the numbers are computed.
