Writer's Note — James Cooper

Delhi's data shows climate at its most extreme. May averages 33°C, January averages 14°C — but the felt extremes are wilder. I tracked a week in late June: 39°C with 60% humidity, air quality in the 'unhealthy' range. The monsoon (July-September) brings 200mm/month but also relief from the pre-monsoon heat. October-November is statistically the best window: 22°C, low humidity, UV manageable. December-February brings cold mornings (7°C) and dangerous smog — PM2.5 regularly exceeds 200. The numbers favor February-March and October-November as the only genuinely pleasant windows.
